The Goblin fall arrest device gives the operator the option of two distinct functions. The first is the default use of the fall arrester as a self trailing device that offers smooth trailing that will rarely require user intervention. The second use allows the operator to activate a lock where the Goblin will go up but not down. This allows you to position the back up device. If a fall were to occur, the device activates and stops the operator from falling. The dynamic action that occurs during a fall will prevent the device from compromising the rope. The Goblin is ideal for any vertical or inclined rope work. It can be attached directly to the operator, unlike some other self-trailing back up devices, or connected by a rope grab lanyard. Camp recommends the Goblin Lanyard with Rope Surfer. The Rope Surfer allows the device to trail more smoothly.
